How Much Is Private Medical Insurance?

Such as BUPA? Just looking for an average before I ring for a real quote to know if I stand any chance of being able to afford it!

Answer: You can call an agent or broker and they will find you a plan that fits your needs and budget, here are so many options out there. There is a pan for everyone, go online and sign up to check rates and an agent will contact you. The consultation is free, you don't need to feel obligated to buy it just because they are selling it.

Looking For Private Health Insurance?

My husband currently has health insurance through his employer, but it's fairly expensive, and really is nothing more than major medical (office visits and prescriptions aren't covered).

He's looking for an HMO that covers office visits (even if the co-pay is $40, that's fine) and prescriptions. He's rarely sick (he's been do the doctor ONCE since I've known him (4 years) and doesn't want to spend an arm and a leg for insurance, but it is necessary to have.

Does anyone

Answer: Look into Mega Life. It's not the insurance I use, so I'm not sure of the benefits, but one of my friends has insurance through this company. It was also the insurance that the health center issued to students without coverage when I was in college. The students I new didn't have a problem with it paying for anything.

Why Not Universal Healthcare? What About Those Who Can't Afford Private Health Insurance?

For a problem that has been around for more than sixty years why now? Is it a plea for more power or is it really for the "people?"

Are the private healthcare providers trying to shoot down the idea for there own benefit? The Committee On The Costs Of Medical Care, by Charles C. Smith, Jr. M.D. quoted, “When organized medicine takes a stand, the surgeons are the first to take a dive!”

I will be the first to admit I have no idea which

Answer: Just follow the money and you'll see where everyones motivation is. Private insurers probably dont want the competition. people who don't have health insurance think they're going to get something for nothing, people with insurance don't want to foot the bill for someone else, the politicians touting it are hoping to get re-elected, doctors are afraid their prices will be "fixed" (physicians who do not accept medicare assignment can only charge 15% above the approved amount set by CMS). Also which doctors can the public option payers go to? will every physician be required to be "in-network"?

Anyways, i seriously doubt anyone in this mix is doing it "for

Uninsured And Unemployed, Same-sex Couple?

I quit my job 2 years ago to become a homemaker for my same-sex partner. My house and car are paid for (and in my name) and we support ourselves on his income alone. I guess some people would consider that I am living on independent means, but if we were married, I would just be a housewife. This arrangement works great for us, but unfortunately his employer does not provide a family insurance option for same-sex couples. The rates for private insurance are ultimately too expensive for our current

Do a google search on bankruptcy and medical expenses and will get all kind so hits. The major reason for bankruptcy is medical debts that people cannot pay.
