Want My Father To Continue To Pay Child Support When I Go To College. What Do I Need To Do?

I want my dad to pay for child support when I go away to college, because my mom (who has been my only parent for most of my life) is dirt poor (because of two disabilities and she's a displaced homemaker). I don't want to take money away from her, because she's barely staying afloat as it is, but there's no way I can handle a full-time job and going to school full-time.

I'm going to a community college for 6 months or so next year (because I will have most of the college credits

Answer: those calculators mean nothing, it all depends on what the COURT ordered him to pay, and it seems like YOU dont understand what child support really is. its not YOUR money, yes its for you but its for the necessities like feeding you clothing you putting a roof over your head. SOME child support orders DO go to the age of 21 but most of the time it stops when you are 18. you have to have your mother look at the child support order to see what the order tells him to do and how much he HAS to pay.

if there is no order, then he technically by law doesnt have to pay anything until an order is put in place. he could and probably would get in huge trouble for that but if there
