twenty years ago my best friend got a misdeamonor for using a fake credit card which she called no contest for . She went to jail for one day and got finger printed and left jail the same night. Now twenty years ago opr 21 she is applying for a broker license and needs to know how long is the fingerprinting last in the system ( I told her forever LOL!) and will she not be able to get her broker license to sell insurance? Serious answers please! thanks!

Answer: Yes. It's a felony that keeps you from getting a license, not a misdemeanor.

I Received A Phone Call From Lindenberg Lending And Credit Stating That I Was Approved For A Loan.?

The gentleman on the phone told me I needed to make five upfront payments so the brokers who are funding my loan can buy insurance just in case I default on the loan. The insurance would be so the brokers and investers can get their money back. I must sen $1245 before the loan is deposited into my account. The loan amount is for $10,000. What should I do?

Answer: This is a scam, plain and simple. Obviously you didn't apply for a loan with them, so why would they approve you out of the blue for one? Also, no loan is going to require that you make upfront payments to "buy insurance." Even with mortgages over 80% of the home equity have private mortgage insurance to cover the lender, and that is included in the mortgage payments to the lender every month once they've already funded the loan. Forget you received the phone call and don't send them any money.

Personally I would go one step further and report it to your local authorities along with all the information that "Lindenberg Lending" provided to make payments.

Flood Insurance (possible Mortgage Scam?)?

I put an offer on a house in a high risk flood plain, knowing that we would have to carry flood insurance. We had checked the FEMA website offering gov't insurance and got an estimate that put the payment around $100 or a little less per month. The real estate agent called and stated she had spoken with our potential mortgage broker and that they had said due to our 'poor credit' insurance would be between 200-300 per month. My credit is fair to good, but not in the 700's by any means. My real estate

Answer: You can not only shop around for insurance, but for a different mortgage company as well.

However, if you credit is not even 700 no one will call that "good".

I do not live in a flood area, but am seriously unclear on what your credit rating has to do with flood risk. For this reason, the lack of association, I would find another loan.

Is health reform's small-business tax credit working? | www ...

One company that has had success selling policies under the program is Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Kansas City, which launched a marketing push to promote the tax credit when the law was enacted. Eager to promote the new small-business tax credit, the government this spring mailed 4 million eligible companies postcards with highlights of the program. Blue Cross has sold 227 plans to small businesses in the past three months -- 80 percent more than in a typical three-month period, says Tom Bowser, chief executive officer. The value of the benefit declines quickly, so many business owners in high-cost states get no tax break, and those elsewhere often say the credit is too small to make much of a difference. Although less than a quarter of small businesses in the Kansas City area qualify for the credit, the ad campaign paid off. I can't quite decide whether this article is telling me that the small-business tax cut passed as part of the Affordable Care Act is working, not working,......
