I am in Florida.
What is the insurance that is required to rent out a jet ski and a pontoon boat? How much?
Answer: I also own a Boat Charter Company with one jet ski -- however, my jet ski is used off of a larger yacht. I can tell you from experience, that getting insurance on the jet ski is always a challenge. My recommendation would be to call your marine insurance company. I wish I could answer your question straight up, but leave this to the professionals. You want to make sure you have your liability taken care of, you really don't want to short-change yourself here.

I recently broke part of my jaw and smashed in some teeth on a friend's boat. I am uninsured, but my friend's family's boat insurance should at least help cover the expenses, right? So how do I get my friend's parents to talk to their insurance company? What do I do? Thanks in advance for your help!
Answer: Maybe, maybe not. It's going to depend on how it happened that you were injured on the boat. IF they have medical payments coverage - which is possible, maybe they have it, maybe they don't - the amount of coverage probably isn't going to go very far - maybe $1,000.
You're going to have to sue the owner of the boat, and the person who actually caused the injury. IF you can prove negligence, you can maybe get enough to cover your bills.
It will heavily depend on how you were injured - and if you were sober or not.
Can Our Mortgage Company Require Us To Go With Their Insurance Company?

We are in the process of trying to refinance with a new mortgage company. We currently have homeowner's insurance through Farm Bureau Insurance, as well as boat, automobile, and life insurance. The mortgage company we are refinancing with is saying that we must have and escrow account and pay their OWN homeowner's insurance, instead of Farm Bureau. I don't want to do this because we get a multi-line discount at Farm Bureau, and I like them. Can they do this?
Answer: Absolutely not. Matter of fact, by law, they are required to have you sign an "ainti-coersion" disclosure. It states that they have NOT instructed you to, or required you to use a specific insurance company, to guarantee the closing of your loan. BIG no-no. The law was put in cto protect consumers from companies offering each other kick backs. "send me business, and I'll send you business". It is fraud. You are encouraged as a consumer to shop for the best deal.
