What Kind Of Jobs Can We Get In Las Vegas? |
Question by Harley Girl | Posted in Las Vegas
My husband and I are moving to Vegas this summer. And we want to know what kinds of jobs we can get. We are both 45 and are licensed professionals where we live. He has done construction since he was 14 and has had his General Contractors license for 10 years. He has also worked for a Construction company as a Supervisor for the past 3 years. I have been in customer service for over 25 years and have owned a Daycare as well as I have been a licensed Cosmetologist for 12 years and am a licensed Instructor
| Answer: your experience will help regardless if you have a license or not, you can always get one in vegas, there are alot of jobs out there, especially construction they are always building... have fun, dont gamble too much. |

How Much Does It Cost To Live In Las Vegas? ? |
Question by hebbers | Posted in Las Vegas
My boyfriend and I are looking at possibly moving to Las Vegas due to a job transfer. I'm wondering what bills we'll have to pay, looked at rent. Wondering if anyone has any info on taxes and household bills we'll need to pay... sounds a bit dumb but coming from UK so stuff is different - for example we'd have to get health insurance and stuff like that. What's the cost of childcare? etc.
Cheers
Answer: It's more expensive than many places because it's a big city and in demand, but it's not as bad as most other large cities.
I live in Summerlin, which is a nice area far from The Strip (trust me, you don't want to live anywhere near The Strip) and family sized apartments can be found out here for about $1000, plus utilities. I'm very cautious about turning off lights and not using up too much electricity, and it's about $200 a month.
Jobs are as hard to find as anywhere else and most of them are minimum wage, but Nevada is a great state to start your own business, as the tax laws aren't strict and there's demand for pretty much any business idea you could come |

Should I Move To Las Vegas From Huntington Beach? |
Question by Jon B | Posted in Las Vegas
I'm 25 and was offered a job promotion relocation to vegas for more money. It's in commercial insurance for auto dealers. I don't know a soul in the state and am a little leery. any thoughts???
Answer: Cars aren't selling here in this economy. But I suppose they aren't selling anywhere. It's a good place to live and work. No state or city income tax and the housing prices have dropped drastically. Food prices are great. Electricity is very expensive here.
The people here pretty much stay to themselves. It's not that they are rude but you won't know your neighbors like in most places. People come home from work and go right into their house. All yards are walled in to separate properties. Most properties are HOAs and have walls around the entire complex so when you walk on the sidewalk all you see are walls. You almost have to make of point of making friends. |

Im Pregnant And I Don't Qualify For Madicaid, What Can I Do,i Live In Las Vegas Nv??? Thank You!? |
Question by Elin | Posted in Pregnancy
im pregnant and i don't qualify for Medicaid, also my job don't offer insurance what can i do,i live in las vegas nv??? thank you!
also, i looked around for insurance and they all say that they can't cover me because i'm pregnent
| Answer: The person above me is right. In order to qualify for Medicaid, your income must be 30,000 or less a year IF you are a single mother and pay your own bills. If you are married or share a house with someone else who helps pay the bills, the combined income must be 40,000 or less. Start looking into your own health insurance. You will need it. You can also seek guidance from a local clinic on finding the right insurance for you and your baby. |
