Homes In Jacksonville Florida? |

My husband and I are thinking about relocating from Maryland to Florida. He can transfer jobs to jacksonville. We were wondering how the hurricanes are there, the homeowners insurance and is it a family orientated place? We plan to buy a house built from the year 2000 up... any and all suggestions are greatly appreciated. This is our first time planning a big move. So please no negative comments. Thank you.

Answer: Hurricanes not a major worry in Jax - because of the coastal curve, storms either swing by offshore or head inland before getting this far north (the last actual hurricane to hit was over 30 years ago).
Insurance somewhat pricey, since the companies base rates on the state as a whole, but you only have an issue actually getting it if you buy a manufactured home, as many companies have stopped covering those.
Familywise, a great place. Schools are pretty good for the most part, we have a nice zoo, lots of parks, museums and the beaches. And of course, all the major theme parks are an easy daytrip away. |

My family is moving to Jax the beginning of November, and I will have absolutely no health insurance when we get there, beside the very limited health care I have through the VA, and I desperately need dental work done, about $5,000 worth, to be exact, and I need it done SOON. I've been told there's a dental college there that will do work for free, anyone know about that? I'm sure getting temporary health insurance from the county will take forever, and we don't have any jobs lined up for us in
| Answer: Well...I found this list of Human Resources, etc. that seem somewhat promising to provide discounted dental care. http://www.doh.state.fl.us/Family/dental /resources/county/Duval.pdf But, you are right-- an actual Dental School would be your best bet for satisfactory and affordable care. UF College of Dentistry in Jacksonville has good patient ratings. http://www.hscj.ufl.edu/dentistry/contac t.asp , I would give that a try. I was a Dental student at one time, and we ran a very professional clinic and all of the patients were always thrilled with the work and pricing. |

i never got along with my mom and was wondering what are the laws involved with me being 17 a jr in high school moving in with my sister who has a job, insurance, and a apartment to live in. I am from central florida and my sister is in jacksonville and i was wondering if there is anything stopping me from moving in with her.

| Answer: yeah you can live with her but dont take advantage of it you need to help her with some of the bills and clean some places of the house and if your mom doesn't believe you tell your sister to convince her i hope this information helped you |

Motorcycle Accident Settlement For A Minor? |

I was recently in a motorcycle accident 1/27/10.
i was going 35mph a work van ran a stop sign.
I was thrown 20-25ft.
1 3 inch wide 2 inch deep laceration in thigh. (muscle damage)
1 4 inch wide 1 inch deep laceration above knee on thigh.
Various Road Rash.
Insurance gave me 2000 for the bike.
Trauma center bill for 10 hours 19,000 dollars.
Progressive Wanted to settle for 33,300.00 dollars.

As a minor, you can't agree to a settlement.
Your parents might be able to.
Who gets the money? Usually not the minor.

this lincoln has 77,000 orginal miles, new carb. , new beautiful blue with gold pearl paint job , white leather int., you can run her at a 100 mph and she wont even shake, you must see it to appreaciate, i started to restore it and ran of of money and time the car got to go or me !!!, the only thing wrong is it has a small leak from the gas tank ... and no a/c ..but just needs a condinsor i had it
