Does State Farm Insurance Drug Test For Internships?

I applied for an internship for the summer and was wondering if they always do a drug test. Please don't say well you shouldn't be doing drugs etc., you don't know me.

Answer: No. They don't. But an internship for what? Where? Their main office? Or an agents office?

The answer may depend on who is giving you the internship.
 
 

Should I Take This Insurance Internship @ Northwestern Mutual?

Alright, I'm a 20 year old college student and have worked at a bank for 2 years now. I ended up getting my life/health insurance license over the summer. I applied for an internship @ northwestern mutual and they offered me a position. I already know that it takes time to build an income in this industry. I saw that it was ranked as a good internship, have seen some horrible reviews. I'll take any advice anyone has to offer...

Answer: Find out what expect of you and make know what your expectations are before you take the job.

If you want to become a financial planner, I recommend looking at the guidelines for internships proposed by the Financial planning association and determine from it some questions you need to ask before you take the job.

This approach can cost you a job or it may help define what you end up doing. Most of the places I worked did not have well-defined plans for the interns when they can on board, so you might be able to influence what you get to do.

Tomorrow I start an Internship with an Insurance company. I have been looking up anything and everything to help me prepare for tomorrow. For anyone who knows ANYTHING LEGIT about insurance, what are the things I absolutely need to know? The important aspects of insurance? I don't have time for idiots that know nothing about this topic. Thanks guys

Answer: Insurance people tend to be very conservative - so censor yourself accordingly!

Mind your manners, keep your ears and eyes open, and watch and identify for yourself who is competant - not everyone in the insurance field is equally professional - and you HAVE to be a good bullshitter to succeed, so half of what you hear, will be bull. It's up to YOU to 1. discern which is good/which is bad and 2. NOT call the bs'er on the carpet - it's not your place.
