What Happens If A Teen Is Involve In A Minor Accident And If He Has No Insurance? Only His Parents?

my son was involve in a minor car accident when he was backing up. He used the car with out my permission and my son wasn't even insured. Can my insurance (bristol) cover for the repairs?

Answer: Several years ago I knew someone in that sitaution. The teen took the car out joyridding while the mom was asleep. She didnt even have her learner's permit, so of course she wasnt listed on the insurance.

Their insurance made the mom file a police report for car theft before they would cover the costs. The daughter was charged, and got community service for it. She totalled a brand new car, so it wasnt like they could just say, oh well, and not turn it in.
 
 

Bristol West Insurance Charged Me For Two Months Even Though I Sent A Cancellation Letter, What Do I Do?

Two months ago i sent Bristol West a cancellation form through LA Auto insurance. I was charged twice, one time it went in unnoticably because i used the card heavily (many small purchases), the second time i noticed it and called LA Auto basically asking why am i still being charged.

LA Auto claims they sent the letter two months ago and Bristol claims they didnt get it. Well regardless, LA Auto sent the cancel form again and basically told them i am to be refunded for the two months

Answer: Bristol West is a terrible company. You ask your bank to reverse the charge.

Then you file a complaint with the Department of Insurance.

Why Is Bristol West Insurance So Horrible?? Help!?

OK I was in an accident with a driver that was insured with Bristol West (she ran a red light but wont admit it). I have called them to make a claim every single day(3-5 per day) for 3 weeks now! I have left dozens of messages & I havent gotten a single call back from the adjuster or anyone! I call te main # again (many times) & everytime I tell them they say 'hold on' & FW my call to another adjuster that doesnt answer or return calls either! Look plenty of ppl say the same thing!

Answer: Because they can, simply. Bristol West is essentially a third party administrator for an assortment of insurances. Even if you had collision coverage, the two insurance companies would have trouble duking it out because BW chooses not to participate in intercompany arbitration ( an independent forum that allows one company to persue the other in lieu of a trial). In other words, when push comes to shove the only method of recourse with Bristol West is suit.

I remember your question about liability from several weeks ago. What I strongly suggest you do is call BW claims and do the following:
1. Track every call you make to BW (times/dates/amount of time you are on hold, and

Answer: i could know a good doctor that takes aetna, but not your plan. contact your benefit rep, h r department, or call the number on your card.

Auto Insurance. I Filed A Claim With Bristol West.?

How long does it take to for them to respond and fix my car. I have a lowered Honda Civic, the whole front end and bumper got ripped off because I had pulled up to far in my parking stall at my apartment complex. It screwed the whole front end up, jacked up a tail light, but the car is still drivable. There were no other vehicles involved., no injuries, no property dmage other then mty vehicle. Does this sound like it can be covered. I have had a dispute with my apartment complex over why I did

Answer: call your insurance company adjuster and ask them if they have all the info that they need or if they need an appraisal or anything
then you can ask about how long they expect this claim to take
