Can The Insurance Group Alter Depending On The Insurer?

I am looking to buy a SEAT Leon 1.9TDI Reference. My dealer has told me the insurance group is No.7, but SEAT Insurance told me it is Group 17, but Go Compare said it is Group 6. I am confused and does the group differ depending on the Insurer?

Answer: The method used to group cars recently changed and I think what's happening here is that the companies that are quoting 6 and 7 are still using the old system, while SEAT are on the new one.
Group 17 on the old system would be for big Mercs, Jags, BMWs etc so a SEAT Leon world be nowhere near that.

The group doesn't really matter anyway, it's only a rough guide.

I have found a car and the specs sa the following fuel consumption and I wanna know if it is good or not as im looking for something more economical.
Fuel consumption (urban) 43.5 mpg
Fuel consumption (extra urban) 65.7 mpg
Fuel consumption (combined) 55.4 mpg
Also it says the insurance group is 7, is this going to be quite cheap?

Answer: yea very good fuel consumption, but insurance group will not be good if its for a young driver, if its for someone who has been driving a few years its great !

What Insurance Group Is A Nissan 2.7 Terrano SE.Its A 2005 Model?

Just looking at one today and wondered what anyone thinks of them, are they reliable ,hard on fuel etc.

Answer: They're group 14, but I wouldn't touch one. They're a very old design, not good to drive on road, with a very "old-school" rattly, gutless Diesel engine. 125bhp is not a lot in a truck weighing close to 2 tonnes. Top speed 95mph! 0-60mph 16 seconds, average fuel consumption 28mpg, so they're not even that economical.

Starting in September of 2010, employer-sponsored (and other) group health plans and Texas health insurance issuers are prohibited from requiring co-pays for all preventive services recommended by an independent expert panel, the United States... Starting January 1, 2014, PPACA enhances such wellness discounts by permitting group health plans to give reductions of up to 30 percent of the cost of premiums to employees who participate in such wellness programs. However, this requirement does not apply to “grandfathered” health plans, which are defined in PPACA as any plan in which at least one individual was enrolled as of March 23, 2010. Co-pays are also eliminated for certain recommended immunizations, breast cancer screenings and other preventive care/screenings for women and children....
