How Much Does Small Business Insurance Cost On Average Yearly ? |
Question by Finni | Posted in Insurance
my friend is doing a project for her college class and needs to know a rough estimate on the yearly cost of small business insurance. Her "business," is a used furniture partnership with a few part time employees. It does not need to be exact but time is a factor so any quick answers would be very appreciated. Thanks in advance!
| Answer: Depends on the state and location of the business. In California a small business policy can vary depending on the business use. I'd guess that the policy would be roughly $2200 for coverage of the business property and a million dollars liability. |

What Is The Price Range For Small Business Insurance Packages? |
Question by Sheepish486 | Posted in Insurance
I have a question for my personal finance class that asks:
Search the internet and name your sources for a small business insurance package. Identify basic areas of risk that they cover. How much would such a package cost?
I've found the basic areas of risk covered, however i can't find price ranges anywhere and all the offices are closed when i call, except for one that said they can't do it over the phone...
Answer: Well, they can't do it over the phone because there are way, way too many variables.
A safe range to use, is $500 to $150,000. Yep, 95% of small business insurance packages will fall in that range.
It depends on what they do, what they need covered, where they are located, and of course, the rating basis.
Sorry, I don't think this is much help. |

Hi I am doing a project for school and I was wondering how much insurance is for a small business. It will be a temporary food vendor. I am looking at owner, liability, product liability, and auto insurance. I just need an estimate if you could help. Thanks!
Answer: The insurance for the product liability and property, is probably going to run you $1500 to $2500 for a cart.
The auto insurance, could be $2,000 to $5,000 depending on coverages. |

Would You Suggest Getting Small Business Insurance For A Mobile Business? |
Question by Darksuns | Posted in Insurance
My husband and I recently started a mobile buisiness. We have no "location." The business is run and the service is provided on location at the customer's request. We have set our business up as a sole proprietorship. Do you suggest insurance? If so, what kind?
| Answer: Yes, definitely. First, if you are using you personal vehicles to get to the customers location your auto insurance company can avoid paying a claim if on a business trip. Second, liability for any error or damage you cause while doing your work. As a sole proprietor you are liable for any damage or claim and your homeowners or auto will not pay. See your insurance agent and discuss coverage needed, it probably will not be that expensive. I have a small farm business and pay very little extra for business coverage. |

Health Insurance For Small Business Owner? |
Question by dear_gurl | Posted in Insurance
Wanting to know how to find out two things: 1) the best health insurance coverage and 2) for the best and most affordable price. My husband is the sole proprietor of a small business he runs. He'd like to get good health insurance for the two of us but what I've looked into has been incredibly expensive for good coverage or cheaper for not-so-good coverage. Someone recently told us to look into becoming incorporated as that may help (I don't know how though). Any ideas? Thanks in advance.
Answer: ~~There may be better tax advantages by incorporating but it will not affect your premiums. I don't know what state you live in, but I will give you the number to our insurance agent we use with Costco Insurance. Her name is Lisa and call her at 1-800-611-9057 ext #2206.
We currently have Costco Insurance which is under our business (has to have two people covered) and is through United Healthcare. They are excellent and our premiums for great coverage are very reasonable. It does go by age, so the younger you are the less it costs.preexistingting clause is required. Dental is also available.
Our business is suffering from the bad economy so we are currently working |
