Answer: She rear ended you, so liability is clear. As long as her insurance policy was in effect on the day of the accident, you should be fine. Basically, The Hartford has to verify the accident with the lady before they pay for your damages. Faxing the police report should speed the process up.

Your body shop wanted your insurance info just to make sure you don't have to buy extra insurance from Hertz. Transferrable means your insurance will transfer to the rental vehicle.

I think you will be fine. You got into a reasonable rental and you faxed the police report. Just be patient.

Answer: You indeed need that coverage. If you were to experience a flood, or fire, or any other disaster that wiped out your inventory, your homeowners insurance will not cover it. Yes it may seem redundant, but you need it to cover your household items and your business equipment and inventory. Although everything is located in your home, they are separate, and should be insured separately.

Actually, that is a pretty good price for a policy.
