Is Western Southern Life Insurance Company A Good Company For Life Insurance?

I am planning to get a life insurance for about a million. Is Western Southern a good company to purchase?

Answer: It is not a bad company but why you are not getting that from a better and well known Company? There are a lot of companies who are bigger and well known like Metlife, ING, Prudential and .....
and they are very comparative price wise as well. My suggestion is to shop some other companies.

I am looking for a job at western-southern. Does anyone know if i am a life insurance agent. What will this job consist of?
sitting in an office?
going out to find people myself to sell to?
just kind of want to know what will go on day to day. i have a life insurance license and i want to know what kind of work i would be doing?

Answer: If you have a license, you're an agent. If you get hired, most likely they'd say, "go sell some policies!". Yes, you have to find people yourself.

Is It Possible To Make Good Money As An Insurance Agent?

I am considering starting a job as a life insurance agent, and I was wondering, can anyone give me some good advice on what the job is like? I would like to make at least $500 a week, but I just really don't know what to expect. Is that figure realistic? What are some of the best companies to work for? (I have interviews with Prudential and Western Southern). Thanks a lot.

Answer: Of course it is, but not likely in your first year. If you survive that first year and are experiencing consistent production and reasonable growth, you can expect to become very wealthy.

Life Insurance When Is The Payout After A Death?

We had a death in the family almost 3 weeks ago. We have an arrangement to pay for the funeral services within 30 days. It won't be long until that comes along. All documents and death certificate and everything was turned into western southern life 2 weeks ago the agent said she would turn it in and the check would be mailed out.
Does anyone know how long this company takes?
Right now my family and I are trying to figure out a way to pay off the funeral home in the next 2 weeks almost

Answer: State insurance laws varies on when a company has to deliver the death claim, but the company usually have 30 days to deliver. The company may want to investigate the death, so your state insurance department may grant them another month to investigate. Hopefully that's not the case and they deliver it soon.

The company I use to work for deliver death claims within 3-7 days. So the answer depends on the company. But you may want to check with your state's insurance laws on time limit on when a death claim must be paid.
