National Health Insurance(India) Question? |
Question by temp | Posted in Insurance
Hello
I wanted to know how good is National insurance company based in Calcutta? Do they actually pay when you claim? Reason I am asking this is because their premium is very low compare to other insurance company for same amount. My parents brought Baroda Healh policy which is provided by National insurance for the account holder of Baroda bank, premium for 1 lac is approx. 1700 where as in oriental it is around 9000, so is it good insurance to buy national insurance?or is it that
| Answer: All health policies in India are limited in scope. The general attitude of the insurance companies is to make money for themselves and not really support the clients. For example, when some policy holder makes claims for hospitalisation, they have lots of reasons to deny, exclude, reject etc. In my opinion once a person buys a health insurance policy, she should be helped throughout without making her/him to spend further. Let them follow the good practices in other countries. Fix a premium no matter how big or small. But once premium is paid, answer all claims without exclusion of certain diseases. What's the use of health insurance if certain diseases are excluded from the list of cashless |

Anyone Ever Try To Cancel Insurance From Old National Bank? |
Question by AbeLincolnParty | Posted in Insurance
We have life insurance that was offered through Old National Bank deducted from our checking account.
I wrote the bank telling them I wanted to revoke the authority to deduct the insurance payments from my account. They said I had to contact the insurance company to do that and gave me the phone number:
800-252-2148 , but that goes to an anwering machine which gives option 2 to cancel a policy, but hitting the number 2 the reply is "invalid number".
Answer: You need to withdraw all your money from that bank, and open a new account. Even if you open a new account with that bank, they can keep drawing on the old account.
Old National Bank isn't a life insurance company, I just checked. I'd hazard a guess that you're being ripped off. The NSF thing is a way to keep you from cancelling your account, so they can keep withdrawing.
ALWAYS BUY YOUR INSURANCE THROUGH A LOCAL AGENT. I'm guessing you got in online. |
