Credit Card Rental Car Insurance Deductible?

So I am planning to rent a car with a credit card (MasterCard or Visa) with a rental insurance policy benefit and I have full coverage with Geico ($1,000 deductible). My question is if I were to rent a car and decline the CDW or LDW offered by the rental car company and then get into an accident, would Geico pay everything above $1,000, and could I collect the deductible from the credit card policy?

Answer: autoinsurance.hotusa.org - try this one. I have their car insurance and, as I know, they can provide such a service.

How Does Rental Car Insurance Work?

I got into an accident with someone who was driving a rental car. He is also from out of town. The accident is my fault but I want to avoid going through my insurance to pay for the damage. I heard that since rental car companies have their own insurance, if you hit one of their cars, you dont have to worry about fixing it. Is this true, or will the rental company contact my insurance? How does it work?

Answer: If you had an at fault accident, you can expect that the owner of the vehicle, the rental company, will be contacting you with the costs of repairing the vehicle and perhaps a bit more to the loss of income while the vehicle was being repaired.

Once you get that, you can pay out of pocket leaving the insurance out of it, or notify your insurance and they will pay.

Yes, rental companies have their own insurance, which would cover your damage if one of their cars hit you and it was their fault, but that won't cover things you do to them that are your fault.

Where Can I Get Good Rental Car Insurance?

I don't have a car so I have no car insurance. Occasionally I rent a car, but I always get screwed with the rental company's high insurance premiums. Are there any insurance companies that provide insurance on a short term basis. I have a good driving record.

Answer: No one will do it on a short term basis, but a named-nonowner policy runs about $150 a year. If you cancel it early, you don't get any money back.

How Do I Claim My Deductible And Rental Car Insurance From Someone Without Insurance?

What is the best way for me to get my money back (deductible and rental car costs) from someone who caused the accident, but who's insurance turns out to not be valid? She is insured with Geico, however when I called them - they said it is likely that there is something wrong with her policy and they will probably not cover the cost of the accident. I'm guessing she didnt pay her monthly bill, or something similar which caused them to void her coverage. Can anyone suggest what I need to do to recover

Answer: Legally, your carrier is abrogated to your right of recovery. As you may know, this is just for the amount that they pay. However, your carrier has as much right to _anything_ paid by the other person as you do. So if you collected anything from the other person, your carrier would legally be entitled to at least a portion of it.

You could let your carrier seek recovery of the amount they are owed and usually this would include asking for your deductible but seldom will they ask for your rental payment. Also, it's unlikely that they will collect much of anything.

With that said, about your only recourse is to file in small claims court. This will get you a peice

How Do I Show Proof Of Rental Car Insurance In Virginia?

I was pulled over for speeding last week. I was driving my rental car, but didn't have the contract with me. The officer informed me that I needed the contract with me and gave me a ticket for the rental car not having insurance.

I did have insurance, I just didn't have the proof of it with me. I believe that I should be able to show proof of insurance to get out of this citation, but who do I show it to? How long do I have to show it?

Should I contact a Virginia traffic

Answer: When you go to court, bring the contract with you. The judge will throw out your citation. No big deal.

Best Car Rental Agencies | Airport Parking.org

Some states put tariffs on car rental at the airport so that they can tax out-of-state drivers, while others simply tax the rental companies, a cost that is usually passed on to consumers.
