Is Unemployment Insurance Benefits And A Unemployment Check The SAME Thing In Illinois ?

I got laid off from my job , I'am looking to apply online for Unemployment Compensation in Illinois. I came across an application on this site http://www.ides.state.il.us/ , that states its for Unemployment Insurance Benefits .

This is my first time going on Unemployment , is this the right application to fill out ?? The thing that is throwing me off is Insurance Benefits ?? Last I heard its just called an Unemployment application .I tried calling local offices but I'am on hold or

Answer: An Unemployment check is your unemployment insurance benefit. Yep.
A little bit of advise, take 2 forms of ID, dates you worked and where and GO to the unemployment office, start early in the day, plan on being there when they open, and fill the forms out there. That will get you in the system.
You will have to call in every two weeks from a land line. Your check will be mailed or deposited to your account within a few days of that call.
Get the information in person and you will get it straight.
Start the old job search and best of luck.
 
 

How Long Do I Have To File For Unemployment Benefits In NJ After Being Separated From Employer?

How long after being separated from my employer do I have to file for unemployment insurance benefits in NJ? (days, weeks)

Would filing after this required time frame effect me in anyway?

I've searched and searched to no avail.

Serious answers only please. A link if found online would be great. Thanks!

Answer: My severance package was paid to me as "extended salary". I filed as soon as the last 'pay check' arrived. Things to consider: 1) it could take a month to receive your first payment, 2) The 2009 stimulus provides for additional weeks for Emergency Unemployment. You could be eligible for more than 33 weeks of benefits. Check out the NJ website, under Unemployment Insurance.
You can calculate benefits and open a claim online!

Can I Leave Unemployment Benefits Off My 1040 If It Makes No Difference In My Refund Amount?

I really need my tax refund ASAP. I have a simple return, and the only item I lack is the 1099-G form from my state (NC) that shows some unemployment insurance benefits I received last year. That state office reports that they won't have these forms out to recipients or available on their website until January 31st. Reporting this income made absolutely no difference when I did my 1040 online, because my total income for last year was so low, and I'm a single mom, head of household. I know the amount

Answer: Probably don't want to do that. Look at your last unemployment receipt if you still have it, it should have the total amount that you were paid as well as any taxes that were taken out. It's better to include everything that you get than to get pegged for something later that you didn't add.

When To File For Unemployment Insurance Benefit Extension I?

My unemployment insurance benefit will run out in a month (late March). Will I get some notice from CA about the extension before it runs out? If not, should I file online before or after my regular/current insurance benefit runs out? Thank you.

Answer: They will automatically see if you're eligible, and if you are, they will send you a notice in the mail saying your benefits will continue for anoter 6 months. I'm sure if you aren't eligible they will also let you know that you don't qualify for exteded benefits. This jsut happened to me, so i know.

Texas Unemployment Insurance And Benefits Question? I Need Some Help/?

This is a 2 Part Question concerning Texas Unemployment Benefits.

Q1:] I recently exhausted my Third Tier of Unemployment Benefits this week. I
checked on the chart and according to the online info there is supposed to be a
4th Tier Extended Benefits which pays up to 20 weeks I called and spoke with a
TWC representative and she told me that I have exhausted my regular benefits in
order to qualify for a additional 4th Tier Texas has to be at 8.5% unemployment

Answer: I don't know man call the Twc.
