Company's name: The travellers Insurance and Surety Corporation " or The travellers Life assurance of the Phil, Inc. Located at 490 TM kalaw, Philippines.This is an insurance company, I am searching for the company's profile.I want to know who is the present chairman and president of the said company, including its board of directors.

Answer: Are you sure that's the exact name? Travelers Casualty and Surety Company is a large, well known carrier that recently merged with the St. Paul insurance company. You can find information on them at www.stpaultravelers.com but they are domiciled in the US. I looked at AM Best and found no Travelers companies that were domiciled in the Philippines. There is one that is in Bermuda.

I also checked on Travellers (with two L's) and found Travellers' Insurance Assoc. Limited which is domiciled in the UK.

Finally I did a search for all companies that are domiciled in the Philippines. While they're all "not rated" (usually because they're too small) AM Best

Holiday Insurance For Elderly And Not Too Robust Travellers?

A number of travel agents now advertise holidays abroad with 'Free Travel Insurance' and don't seem concerned about the age or general health of their customers. How can they do this and would the insurance company pay the claim of an elderly person with a history of ill health? Possibly there is a 'catch all' phrase that agents protect themselves with.
What should one be on the lookout for?

Answer: My advice to anyone who is offered travel insurance from a travel agents and has a pre existing medical condition and/ or is over the age of 64 is do not bother. They generally exclude any pre exsisting medical conditions and have an age limit.

The only way to check is to read either the key fact document (pretty hard going) or struggle through the policy wording (really hard going).

If you are over 64 and/or have a pre existing medical condition I would advise buying a seperate policy especially if you are considering travel to the states as they have really expensive health care.
