Perth; Can I Ride A Motorcycle Without Insurance?

And if I am buying motorcycle insurance, how come they ask me how much I want to pay? Please see the link at http://rac.com.au/Insurance/Motor-insura nce/Motorcycle-insurance/Motorcycle-insu rance-quote.aspx So how much must I pay? I bought my second hand scooter for A$1,000 on bikesales.coml.au

Answer: we have 2 types of insurance for vehicles and at least get the top one as you can be taken to court and sued for the cost of repairs to the other car.
1. called 3rd party, this means your bike is not insured, but other peoples vehicles are, so if you dented a BMW and it cost $10,00 for the repairs the insurance company would pay. But you would not get anything for the damage to your own bike, you have to pay for your own repairs.
2. the other is called Comprehensive coverage, this also covers you for accident, theft, fire - just about everything. The want to know how much you paid for your bike as this is the money they will give you if it is stolen or so badly damaged it is
 
 

Buying A Motorcycle Back From Insurance, How Is The Price Determined?

im waiting for the ins. com. to tell me my bike is totaled. im wondering if i buy the bike back from the ins. com. how they will determine the price.

Answer: Salvage value - what the undamaged parts are worth at a junkyard, is the price. This amount is negotiable.

Insurance On A Motorcycle?

Can anyone give me an average on what motorcycle insurance would we for an 18 year old in Michigan? I keep trying to find out and they keep telling my to input all my information for a quote. I really dont care how much its gonna cost I just want a ballpark estimate...

Please dont reply here with, go to progressive.com or something, I want numbers not instructions on how to find out.

Answer: I dont know for your area but here in texas its about 150.00/month. The most important thing to remember is not to use USAA insurance. They never pay claims accordingly.

Motorcycle Insurance Question?

Im playing with coverage options on Progressive.com right now.

What is a safe number to pick for the person/property/accident coverage
? It influences the final number I'm going to pay dramatically.

It goes in inteverals of 25K, 50K, 100K, 250K.

25K puts me at like $450 a year, 50K is about $550 a year.
And what about medical payments? That goes in $1000, $2500, $5000. intervals.

Im a good rider if that helps, haha

Answer: depends upon which state you reside. In ohio (my home state) you must carry at least liability coverage. CLOSE to what you must have in a car.

in states such as florida, no insurance is necessary.

the only other legal hurdle you may ENCOUNTER iS if you bought the bike on payments, the lender may require comprehensive/collision coverage OF THE vehicle being financed

makes your you take an MSF course, and remember there are only 2 kinds of riders, those who have gone down, and those who will go down. there is no THIRD KIND.
