Can Motorbike Insurance NCB Get Tranfered To Cars ?

Hello everyone,

Im 17 years old, living in London. Im interested getting a motorbike as the insurance for cars is too expensive. What i would like to know is that can I tranfer my NCB (if theres any) on motorbike to a car that I might buy in future ?

Answer: In short, some insurers will do this, some won't. Most won't.

:) i can't drive, but i wanna get a motorbike when i turn 17. how much would the insurance and tax etc be?

Answer: There are no records or statistics available to calculate the average for this.

The average would = total amount paid by a large group of 17 year old girls divided by the number of girls that gave an answer. No one is going to check that!.

How Much Is Motorbike Insurance For A 125cc Bike Roughly?

I know it's had to predict, but im looking to buy a bike soon.
Im 18 years old, live in south-west London, have a full driving license for 1 year now.
(some factors they might consider)

Answer: I drove a 50cc moped for 1 year when i was 16 then upgraded to a 125cc at 17 and it cost me £340 for insurance ( that was 3 months ago ) just say you got a quote elsewhere and its around 300 and they will match it easy , also i said mines was in a brick garage with a rear tire lock ( reduces the price ). btw a good place to look for bikes is gumtree website i biked up an 08 yamaha ybr 125 6k miles on the clock for £800.

Motorbike Insurance In Australia For A Foreigner?

I am moving to Australia from Ireland and am wondering what I will have to do to be able ride a motorbike when I get there. I do not have a motorbike license here, I do have a provisional can lisence but that probably doesn't make any difference does it. So yea, what will I have to do? Nice one!

Answer: well to start with you won't get insurance to ride a motorbike without a license to ride one!
Over here you need to hold your car license for a year (bit iffy on whether provisional is okay or it has to be a full open) before you can get a learners permit for a motorbike.

Cancellation Of Motorbike Insurance - What Do You Write?

Hello,

My partner wants to cancel his motorbike insurance due to it being declared off the road, he's going to sell it eventually.

All I want to know is he has to write to the insurance company to cancel it, what exactly needs to be in the letter, ie: are there certain phrases that are best to use?

He pays by Direct Debit and has just received his new insurance certificate so if we get it written today it will be within the 14 day cooling off period.

Answer: To whom it may concern,

I wish to cancel my motorbike insurance wef (date on sorn declaration) and it has now been declared off the road.

I have enclosed a copy of the SORN declaration along with the Certificate of Motor Insurance.

As I am within my 14 day cooling off period, I have cancelled the direct debit instruction and await any relevant refund from yourselves.
