Answer: Try finding out for yourself.

How Much Does Your Profession Affect Motor Insurance Premiums.?

How much does your job affect premiums? I'm a Chartered Engineer - how would this stack up?

Answer: C. Eng should be quite a good risk. your age and record will be of interest though, as will your car and employment status. If you are employed, driving a mondeo you should get reasonable rates including business use by the policyholder in person. If you are self employed rates will be higher and business use may be a costly extra. Footballers for example pay very high rates because they could injure other players, requiring high levels of compensation.
I ran a Rover 216 as a C.Eng MIChemE, employed status at about £250/year in the late 90s

How To Calculate Insurance Premium Of Motor?

Answer: I assume you mean insurance premium for automobile insurance?

Your insurance premium is calculated using several factors.

1. Your driving history
2. The type of vehicle you drive
3. The amount of coverage you need and the type.
4. The deducatables you want.

Each insurance company calculates this a little differently. You need to contact an insurance agent, give him your information and he can calculate it for you.

Standing The Cost Of A Car Crash Vs Motor Insurance Claim?

My son recently had a motor accident, we intend to stand the cost of a replacement car (insurance premium would rise a further £2000 for the following year).

Do we have to inform the insurance company of the accident and if we do will this have an impact on his insurance considering the we stood the cost and didn't claim?

The current insurance company seem unwilling to answer the question fully and an independant insurance broker was of little help too. Please help!

Answer: ALWAYS inform the insurance company. They get very tetchy if they find out you haven't. My daughter had a total loss. They paid for recovery (it was burned out) but we didn't claim on our insurance and we didn't loose any no claims
