Has Anyone Ever Seen Such A Stupid List Of Occupations As The Ones In This On-line Car Insurance Form? |
Question by Paul B | Posted in Insurance & Registration
I just took a car insurance policy with Liverpool Victoria and reading these occupations, starting to wonder whether I should be regretting it. They don't have my occupation (author), or my girlfriend's (waitress), but have kissogram person, children's entertainer, hawker (???), and many other strange ones... thoughts please? You need to view the list of occupations about halfway down the "About You" section. Have fun. I hope it lets me paste this long link here:

Unfair Motor Insurance Practice ? |

While sitting in the front passenger seat my wife was outside the car strapping our young one in. At this point my wife bumped against the door at which it carried on moving due to the spring action and contacted the door of the car next to us. The opposing party who was by herself then proceeded to get out and accused my wife of knocking her car 4 times and scratching it and denting it. I then opened my door up to her door only to find out that none of the damage was in line with our door. Where
| Answer: If your insurer refuses the claim, they have to be prepared to legally defend you; and given the details you've disclosed, it is unlikely they'd succeed. Even if they did, it would be at too great a cost. As far as the insurance company is concerned this is just a typical nuisance claim they write off every day. |

Why Do Cyclists Think That They Have More Rights To The Roads Than Motor Vehicles? |
Question by Edward V | Posted in Other - Cars & Transportation
The other week a guy on a bike decided to flip a U-turn across a 4-lane highway and ended up getting hit by a family (father, mother, 12-day-old baby), and the family swerved to try and miss him and went head-on into a dump truck. The biker, mother, and baby were killed, all because of the cyclist's, "I own the road and EVERYONE will yeild to me!" attitude. The biker also did not have to carry insurance, so the father, (sole survivor), gets NOTHING in financial compensation. This is wrong.
| Answer: That is a tragedy. You should post information so that people can donate money to the father so he can bury his family. This is so horrible I feel a little sick. There should be more enforcement for right of way laws reguarding people on bicycles. You're right, they don't belong on the same roads as motor vehicles. |

Am I Allowed To Ride My Motor Scooter In Another State? |
Question by Paul H | Posted in Motorcycles
I have a motor scooter (49cc engine, two wheels, DOT certified) which I use in my resident state of Maryland. I live on the state line with PA and DE and would like to ride in both of those states.
MD is kinda cool, in that it treats the scooter as a regular bike, except I need a driver's license. What that means is that I don't need insurance (although I have it) and I don't need tags (and I can't get them.)
Both PA and DE require motor scooters to have tags on them.
Answer: If the state you are going to requires tags, then you need
them to ride legally. You can't ride there without tags.
I had that problem too. Tags aren't required here, but the surrounding states they are. I have a friend to got ticketed and the scooter impounded because it that.
I finally upgraded to a 150 because I wanted to bring my scooter on vacation with me. |

The first step in getting insurance would be to get a Tennessee car insurance quote, you can do that by contacting a car insurance agent or a insurance company provider directly. The fact is that everyone has to pay for insurance but no one like to pay for it. So when getting a car insurance quote in Tennessee ask how you can reduce your rates, because everyone likes to save a little bit of money. Insurance rates can be a financially nightmare but getting Tennessee Car insurance doesnât have to be one also. Unlike most states, Tennessee car insurance is required not by all drivers to insure vehicles for use on roads and highways....
