What's A Good Website For Comparing Auto Insurance Rates In Massachusetts?

I don't feel like paying $2,000 for insurance on a car that's worth barely that, but I don't know where to find a better deal. Any good resources for comparing rates? I'm in Massachusetts.

Answer: the best way to compare and get the best you can is to call a local independent agent in your area. stay away from quoting yourself online unless you are an agent or REALLY understand insurance. most sites will come back with a different premium once you actually take out the policy and its usually not to your advantage. having an actual person locally is ALWAYS a good idea.

Is New Hampshire auto insurance better then Massachusetts auto insurance rates?

Answer: Generally, yes, NH insurance rates are less than MA insurance rates. But, it also depends on where you live in each state & the company (there is now limited competition in MA). Also, MA is a PIP state & NH is NOT a PIP state, so there is less coverage in NH.
If you are moving to NH you will need to get a NH license, registration & insurance. If you are not moving & just want to get an address in NH to get insurance there, you can't. You have to sign a Residence Form stating you are actually a resident of NH & live there. Do You Support Changing Auto Insurance Practices In Massachusetts? Do You Like The Idea Of Getting Rid Of The?

no fault policies and allowing open competition among insurance providers? I hope it changes. I am sick of paying higher rates for bad drivers who speed and cause accidents. I have no accidents and no speeding tix in 20 yrs of driving and I still have to pay high policies because the rates are predetermined depending on where you live and what step you are (9 being the best which is where I am but I still pay over $1000 a yr because I live near Boston). How do you feel about it?

Answer: No fault takes the responsibility for your own actions away. If I do not have to pay for the damage that my negligence causes to others, I have very little incentive to avoid that damage.

You can see that in the way people drive in Mass. It is one of the more aggressive driving areas of the country. People have less fear of accidents, especially those driving older cars.

I Live In Massachusetts Where Auto Insurance Can't Compete My Question Is....?

What is the benefits of competing rates? Well duh, you say because you may get cheaper rates somewhere else but I need proof. Right now I have a '95 Ford Escort, I have basic insurance, I'm a step 12, and I pay about $140 a month...what is better than that? Please name the state you live in.
