Blue Shield Or HealthNet Health Insurance-which One Is Better?

I found two almost identical health insurance plans so I'm choosing between Blue Shield PPO and Healthnet PPO plan.
Could someone tell me which one is better and why?
Thanks so much!

Answer: I had Blue Cross Blue Shield and they used to be a good company. Now, they deny every claim I make claiming pre existing condition. I don't know much about Healthnet. I personally thing Blue Cross is a joke. They charged me through my job 8543.00 for 3 months of insurance and then canceled my insurance after 13 days and did NOT reimburse my money to me. The money was already paid in for insurance....there was a 90 day waiting period and I worked on that federal job 103 days .....which meant I was covered for 13 days of insurance for eight thousand five hundred fourty three dollars and thirty one cents.

Can A Healthnet Insurance Bought In California Be Used In The Philippines During Emergency Cases?

My Aunt is from California and she's vacationing in the Philippines. Due to severe allergy attack, she was rushed to the emergency room in one of the hospitals here in the Philippines. Her health insurance provider is healthnet. The hospital here said they don't accept healthnet card. What can she do ? What other options does she have? If the hospitals here can refuse to accept Healthnet cards, can she just pay the bill and have it reimbursed later by healthnet when she gets home?

Answer: Some health providers allow the reimbursement of health expenses incurred in a foreign country. Ask your aunt to keep all the receipts she had.

Your aunt should have first called her insurance provider to check if expenses incurred in a foreign country is covered. Some health insurance companies such as Great West have numbers in foreign countries that you can call for assistance in the event you need your health insurance.

Maybe you can call the health insurance company of your aunt and inquire on the procedure. Then relay the information to your aunt

If I Have Health Insurance, Should I Not Pay For Certain Coverages On My Car Insurance?

I have health insurance with HealthNet. For car insurance, there seems to be 3 major items for coverage:

-BODILY INJURY LIABILITY
-PROPERTY DAMAGE LIABILITY
-UNINSURED MOTORIST & UNDERINSURED MOTORIST

I'm under the impression that the third item is health insurance *for me* if I get into an accident. Why do I want that if I am paying for medical insurance anyway? Should I minimize coverage on this item?

Answer: Bodily injury liability, is insurance mainly if you are at fault for the accident, it will cover the other driver and all others who were injured for pain and suffereing.

Property damagae liability is insurance for any property damage that is caused by you when you are at fault for a accident. This includes the other motorists car, and other property damaged in the crash. This does not cover your car!

Uninsured and Underinsured motorist insurance is not health insurance for you! It can be in some situations, but you should not think of it that way. It is only used if you are involved in a accident at which you are NOT at FAULT, and the other driver has no insurance,

Does Anyone Know Which NJ Family Care/Medicaid Health Insurance Provider Is The Best?

Amerigroup, Horizon NJ Health, AmeriChoice, HealthNet, Healthfirst NJ?

He had UHP and it was changes to AmeriGroup. It is great because Amerigroup requires no referrals, but many doctors do not take it. My daughter has Horizon NJ Health - and most doctors take that, but they require referrals. Any ideas on the others?

Anyone know which plan is best?

Answer: health-quotes.isgreat.org - my family have this health insurance. It is affordable and has good coverage for dental issues.
