My parents will be visiting this winter. My dad has asthma and is on maintenance medicine. I'm just worried that he might have asthma attacks while here and I can't afford to pay the hospitals/doctors.

I Am 65 Yrs Old, And I Am Still Working With Company's Health Care Insurance Program. Do I Need Medicare ?

Do I need sign up Medicare Part B and buy Supplyment insuarance or sign up for medicare Part C?

Answer: It depends on the size of the group. If the group has fewer than 20 lives it pays secondary to Medicare so you must sign up for Part B. You do not need to get a Part C (Medicare Advantage) plan, Part D (drug coverage), or a Supplement although sometimes it is to your advantage. If the group has 20 or more lives it pays primary to Medicare so you do not need to sign up for Part B. If you don't have Part B you cannot get Part C or a supplement. You can get Part D. When you retire, even if you still have the group policy as a retirement benefit, you must sign up for Part B within 8 months or face a penalty.
